During the Master and Doctor Science theses, I have worked with the optimization of mineral extraction processes, such as pyrochlore and colloidal gold. The techniques employed were: analytical chemistry techniques (atomic absorption, X-ray fluorescence, UV/visible spectrophotometry and so on); techniques for structural evaluation (X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy – SEM); techniques for the evaluation of physicochemical properties (Langmuir balance, surface tension, pH and conductivity measurements, contact angle measurements, zeta potential, and so on); techniques for the evaluation of textural properties (nitrogen adsorption).
